THE Government has suspended leave for chief executive officers and directors at public health institutions. In a letter addressed to chief executive officers yesterday, Secretary for Health and Child Care Dr Gerald Gwinji said the suspension of leave was necessary in efforts to bring sanity to the health sector.
Government yesterday warned it will not tolerate any attempts by the opposition to topple President Mnangagwa as he was democratically-elected on July 30 last year. In a statement, Secretary for Information, Publicity and Broadcasting Services Mr Nick Mangwana decried the perpetual electioneering mindset still gripping the opposition, describing it as retrogressive.
“I, Emmerson Dambudzo Mnangagwa, President of the Republic of Zimbabwe recognising the Constitutional Mandate to uphold environmental fundamental rights and freedoms provided for in the section 73 of the constitution of Zimbabwe the “right to an environment that is not harmful to tier health and well-being”, hereby declare that every first Friday of each calendar month is a National Clean-Up Day.”
The National Clean-Up launch was a historic day on the Zimbabwean calendar as the people of Zimbabwe from all walks of life took it upon themselves to make the environment clean, in all parts of the country.
